Sri Satya Narayan Sharma

Born on 5th January 1943 , the great grand son of freedom fighter and editor Padmabhushan Pt Jhabarmal Sharma, Satya Narayan Sharma had patriotism in his blood . A graduate in Science he started his political career in 1985 with the Indian National Congress . He had become member of the undivided Madhya Pradesh Assembly in 1985. He was appointed as the working president of State Congress in 2008 . He was appointed as pro-tem Speaker by virtue ofefficacy , seniority and being elected the maximum number of times as per the convention of the fourth legislative Assembly of Chhattisgarh in 2013 . Owing to his efficiency and far sightedness he has been in charge of various ministries in the undivided state of Madhyapradesh and Chhattisgarh like the Commercial Tax Department, Department of Legal Affairs, Environment, Minerals, Public Relations, Department of School and Higher Educations asCabinet minister. He has served as the President of the National Housing Association , New Delhi and elected as the Vice President of National Committee of Scouts And Guide. Sri SatyanarayanSharma has been continuously elected as the Committee Member of Indian National Congress. His fame as a political figure can be well understood as he has been elected to the Assembly seven consecutive times.
