Prof Gourav Vallabh

Dr. Gourav Vallabh was born in 1977.He teaches Finance at the XLRI (Xavier Labour Relations Institute), Jamshedpur , one of the top most colleges for Management Studies. He is a Chartered Accountant, Company Secretary, Ph.D., M.Com. (Gold Medalist), LL.B., and Certified Financial Risk Manager (GARP, USA). He has over thirteen years of teaching experience in postgraduate and executive education programmes. In the past he had worked as a Professor of Finance at Management Development Institute (MDI, Gurgaon) and Director of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). He has been a member of the Accounting Standards Board (ASB) and Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (AASB).

Prof. Vallabh was honoured with “Best Young Researcher Award 2004” jointly by ICWAI and IAA & also won the best paper award in XXV All India Accounting Conference.

Besides being an author of several books and having worked in the banking sector, Prov. Vallabh also has a doctorate in Credit Risk Assessment. But he is today largely known as the Congress spokesperson
