Sri Padmashree Surendra sharma (Delhi)

Surendra Sharma, often also mentioned as Surender Sharma, is a poet and satirist from India , who usually writes comic sketches of himself and his wife. He was born on 29th July 1945 in Nangal Chaudhary Mahendragarh district, Haryana and has made a very good contribution to Haryanvi comic poetry. He did his graduation in Commerce from Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) of Delhi University. He sometimes uses the Marwari language for his humour as well. He is famous the poker faced alter ago, which he used while performing his comedy material in the Kavi sammelan circuit. He is one of the first few poets of Hasya Ras (Comic and Satiric Poetry). He has established the tradition of Hasya-Ras among Kavi sammelan industry. Sharma was honored by the Government of India, in 2013, with the fourth highest Indian civilian award of Padma Shri He has authored several books and has been written about by other authors . His published works include, “Maansarovar Ke Kavee”, “Buddhimaano Ki Moorkhtaayein”, “Bade-Bado Ka Utpat” along with various articles , poems and satires which are being published regularly in media. Sri Sharma has worked as an actor in various Bollywood feature films. Sri Surendra Sharma was honored by the Government of India, in 2013, with the fourth highest Indian civilian award of Padma Shri followed by Kaka Hathrasi Puraskar. As a poet he has been mesmerizing the audience for the last five decades. He is not only a manifestation of comedy but a messenger of Indian customs and traditions.
